Active Men Experience Slower Hardening of the Arteries

In a study published this week in the Annals of Internal Medicine, middle aged men who engaged in regular aerobic exercise such as jogging developed significantly less atherosclerosis in the carotid arteries (the main arteries supplying the brain) than their more sedentary counterparts.  This study offers yet another piece of evidence that one's risk of developing atherosclerotic disease is, to a large extent, a matter of lifestyle choices.
