Mamaw Jean

Jean has been diagnosed with a coarctation of the aorta. It is long and restrictive. She has been advised to have it surgically repaired. Probably with a "jump" procedure. Will probably be done from the back and would not be opened up like in a normal bypass operation. She is 61 years old and has more than likely had this all her life. We are curious as to whether aynone else has a similar problem. We are at present pondering the idea of surgery or not. It would be interesting to chat with someone with a similar situation. I'm told its extremely rare in a person this old.
