My husband was 44 yrs old, unaware of any heart problems when he had two massive attacks back to back with in a hour of each other. He had an emergency by-pass, that was in 1990. He had a lot of complications and we almost lost him a couple of times. They used a balloon pump and ended up losing four toes on one foot. He finally returned home after three weeks.

He was doing well until 1996, when he had another heart attack. The did an implant of a stent. Then in 1998 after a stress test, they found another blockage. Hence two more stents.  He has six now. And now has another 90% block.

His doctor wants to do the radiation thing to stop the scar tissue from blocking the stents. We are waiting until the hospital gets all in place.
I hope its soon, I don't know how long we can wait. He can't do much with-out being short of breath.

If young people think they are not old enough to have heart disease, think again!! My husband was 44 and our son died instantly with a heart attack at 30. Never sick never complained of any problems.  Just went to Busch Gardens was tired went to rest sit in chair laid back and died.
