JERRY CHRISTENSEN

July 7, 1996. I was 50 years old and an avid runner and exercise nut. I had been a runner since August of 1971 just prior to my oldest daughter's birth. It was lunch time and I was in our company gym working out when my heart attach started. I was being treated by a doctor for indigestion for the 5 months. I just started feeling bad. Nothing I could put my finger on. I showered dressed and went back to work. I was feeling a little better so I ate my lunch at my desk. I thought the burning in my chest had to do with that. Things started to go down hill fast. I asked a fellow worker to call 911 and I went into our conference room to lie down. Rescue arrived and put me on a stretcher and head for the hospital. I don't remember leaving the building. I was told before they got me into the cath lab to open up my blocked artery they used the paddles on me three times. Three months later I had double by-pass when everything closed up again.

I thought my life style had been healthy but it was not healthy enough. It has now been over 8 1/2 years and I feel great. My EKG and other test are all good. I still workout everyday but I have changed a lot of things along the way. I started reading everything I could about heart disease. I have added several key vitamins and other things to my diet. I try to maintain a low fat diet but I have added the good fats to my diet. I have done a lot of reading on flaxseed oil and its many benefits. Flaxseed oil is high in omega 3,6, and 9. The are all essential fatty acids that are hard to get in your diet. I have read that cholesterol has a melting point of around 300 degrees F. I take a combination every morning of one tablespoon of liquid flaxseed oil, mixed with half a cup of lowf at cottage cheese (low fat cottage cheese has sulfur protein) and 1200mg of lecithin. This combination brings the melting point of cholesterol to 32 degrees F well below the normal body temp!
of 98.6. It is said that this will help clean your arteries. This formula comes from Dr. Johanna Budwig. The book How to Fight Cancer and Win tells about Dr. Budwig. The flaxseed oil has to be cold pressed and unrefined. It cannot be exposed to heat or light and must be refrigerated. It can be hard to find.

My daily intake of vitamins consist of E, B-12, B-50 complex, Q-10, fish oil, calcium, garlic, liquid colloidal minerals, and a antioxidant formula pill. These are in addition to the flaxseed, cottage cheese, and lecithin combination mentioned above. I also take an oral chelation product. These are all taken for the heart. I am now 59 years old and have more energy and stamina than most men of much younger age. I am convinced that my low saturated fat diet, along with exercise, and the healthy products that I take mentioned above has put me onto a healthy life style that should help me grow to be an old man.

I encourage anyone with heart disease to take things into their own hands. Do your research. Read about the flaxseed oil. There is all kinds of great information to be had and what you can do to prevent heart disease. Exercise is not enough and won't guarantee a healthy life. You need to add supplements and a low saturated fat diet. The good fats can help you get your cholestrol in check by increasing your HDL and lowering your LDL. There is life after heart disease. Enjoy it.
