After a month of begging my physician to find out why I could not breath at night and was so tired after walking to the telephone, I had a Heart Attack. He had assured me nothing was wrong and I just had "stuffy lungs". This is where we started after the MI

Jan 2000 Angioplasty/Stent #1 95% Blockage
Apr 2000 Angioplasty 90% Blockage
Oct 2000 Angioplasty 80% Blockage
Feb 2001 Diagnostic Cath
Feb 2001 Angioplasty/Brackytherapy 85% Blockage
Oct 2001 AngioW/Artherectomy due to "Candy Wrapper effect" from radiation 85%Blockage
6 days Later Angioplasty W/ #2 conjoinining Stent
75% Blockage
June 2002 Double AngioW/Brackytherapy to #2 stent
95% & 99% Blockage
12 days Later Re-coiled to a 80% Blockage

Artery is so mushy that nothing else can be done. My problem is Cell Proliferation that blocks up everything they do. (scar tissue) It does not know when to stop. If I agreed to Open Heart Surgery to attempt to By-Pass,I KNOW that it would just close back up. I left against Medical advise and called Hospice. I do not want to spend the rest of my life having one by-pass after the other until I died or stoked out from one of them. The Interventionist have done everything they can do to patch my poor old Left Anterior Artery. I pushed them to go on and on. They say they have never had a patient have this many procedures. I also have a 70% blockage in the Circumflex, a 60% blocked Carotid artery, Angina, Left Bundle Branch Block, mild Mitral Valve Prolapse and Documented Coronary Artery Spasms. My Dad had his first MI at 38 and he died from the 2nd one at 52. I was 53 when I had my MI.

I intend to live my life to the fullest and when it blocks back up, I will not call 911 but will call Hospice. They already have Oxygen here and have ordered liquid morphine for the time I might need it. I guarantee you that I do not want to die but know in my heart that getting on the By-Pass train would not help me. I have a marvelous family that I love dearly.

Good Luck To You All..........Beverly
