Once again, the FDA does a favor for a drug company. Will Congress ever stop the FDA employees from posturing themselves for a position with the industry they are suppose to regulate?
Careful about statins including red yeast rice. Read ALL the side effects. Google statin neuropathy. As with most supplements prescription or non, there are benefits in one area but pitfalls in another. Pick your poisons carefully.
It looks promising to see more evidence build up on the possibilities of red yeast rice. Not all dietary advice has proven to be successfull. I personally follow Pamela McDonald’s medical research, The APO E Gene Diet, based on prevention and even reversal for such chronic illnesses such as heart disease, alzheimer’s disease, and diabetes. Great success has resulted do to the fact that it is no a “one diet fits all” fad. It is a system created for each unique indidvidual providing optimal health.
