Okay, so the millennium is only a year old; it’s been an unusually eventful year in heart research. 

In this article, DrRich reviews his personal list of the top 10 advances in cardiac research during the year 2000.  While most of these advances have not yet made a major impact in clinical medicine, they all show immense promise for the near future.  Anyone with heart disease, with a family member who has heart disease, or who has a substantial risk of developing heart disease, will be well advised to heed this “heads-up.”
