Brachytherapy -
| A new form of therapy for relieving blockages in the coronary artery, and preventing restenosis in stents. Brachytherapy applies a dose of radiation to the stenotic segment of the artery, generally delivered via a special catheter. Controversy remains as to when the benefits of this new therapy outweighs the risks. |
