Aortic aneurysm -

An abnormal dilation of the aorta, the body's main artery.  Aortic aneurysms can occur in the chest (thoracic aortic aneurysm) or in the abdomen (abdominal aortic aneurysm).  Aortic aneurysms can cause pain, occlusion of the blood supply to various organs, serious bleeding, or even death.
