SANDRA

At 46 I had a heart attack I had symptoms for several years but ignored them. I was in total denial until I could not deny it anymore. I was yard saleing in the morning and next morning I was having emergency open heart surgery. I had 4 by-passes and recovered quite well. I quit smoking. I went on a slim fast diet. I did not know about fluid build up. I was dieting and getting bigger everyday. One morning 3 mos. later I woke up and heard a rattle in my chest. I knew I was in heart failure. I filled up before I could get to hosp. I fought for my life all morning. They got 19 lbs of fluid in 6 days. I was put on respirator until the fluid was gotten off my lungs. I got better and was well for 12 yrs. I had another heart attack and had to have 2nd sur.I had 2 bypasses, valve replacement and an aneurysm repair which required cutting off part of my heart. It was a rough and very big surgery. I am doing ok now and hope to live a few years longer. If you have symptoms don't ignore them like I did.It may not be your heart but rule it out to be sure. Thank you
