Hannah's Mom
My daughter, Hannah was born with a congenital heart defect, known as tricuspid
atresia. We had no idea that she was sick. The defect was detected when she was
12 hours old. We were immediately sent to Vanderbilt's Children's Hospital.
Hannah has been through 2 open heart surgeries and it was definitely touch and
go for awhile, but by the grace of God, she is a happy, healthy, soon to be 8
year old. Our lives have definitely been different than we had ever anticipated.
But, what we have been through, has made us the people we are today. We've just
traveled a different path and I wouldn't take anything for all we've learned.
The best lesson is to take one day at a time and enjoy life and each other.
