Let me preface this by saying my daughter Alexis was always a healthy little girl, barely even suffered from the common cold. Then as she was about to embark on her kindergarten year, she developed a cough. So, I brought her to her doctors. They dismissed her cough as nothing.

The cough was still there a week later, so I telephoned her doctor and then the prescribed an antibiotic. Well the antibiotic ran it's course, with no sign of improvement. Meanwhile, I am trying to diagnose her over the internet, I thought worse case scenario walking pneumonia. So once again, I contacted her pediatrician and suggested that perhaps a a chest xray was in order.

So we went to get an x-ray and found out my daughters heart was enlarged, subsequently, restrictive cardiomyopathy, ultimately, only option was heart transplantation, so that's what we did. This is all so scary, you never think things like this can happen to you, but they do!
