This is not my story but my close friend's. If
any of you have had someone in your family die or living with HCM (hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy) you may want to read about one families tragic story of five who
have died from it. The first at age 3 1/2, boy at 12, another 14, the mother and
brother also early. My friend who lives to tell about it had a heart transplant
after his twin brother passed away. The story is detailed in a new book called
"Hidden Causes of Heart Attack and Stroke" I found it online. HCM is the leading
killer with one in 500 affected. Any young athlete should be examined.
