Hello. I would like to share with all of you heart disease sufferers out there the story of my bout with a triple bypass surgery.

Now, I am a doctor. But I was not always conscious of my health, and what I should do to keep my heart healthy. In the summer of 1994, I began getting short of breath on the stairs and taking baths, etc. I was slightly concerned, but in a month or so they went away, so I thought nothing of it. In November of '94, though, my health took a turn for the worse. I had been smoking 3 packs of cigarettes a day, drinking a case of Bud after I came home from work, and my usual lunch consisted of a rare steak and salt. I had a massive heart attack and was in the hospital for 3 months.

The doctors told me that I probably would not live. But then, one night, I saw the error of my ways. I resolved to myself that I would live. The next morning, I asked the doctors if there was anything I could do. The said that I could have a triple bypass, but it was horribly risky, seeing me in my present condition. I decided to do it.

Now, in 2001, I am a successful doctor. I run 13 miles every morning before work, and I have changed my diet to very healthy. The point of this story is that I survived heart disease, but you might not. Take care of yourself while you still have the chance.
