Exercise improves the function of your musculoskeletal system, your cardiovascular system, your respiratory system, your metabolism, and even your brain.  And you can get these benefits with not that much effort. Read about it here.

I could not agree with you more about the benefits of exercise. It is never too late to start to exercise. And while moderate exercise consisting of at least 30 minutes of activity on a daily basis is probably optimal-even more modest increases in activity have been shwon to be of benefit.

Dr. Fogoros, thanks for sharing this valuable information on the benefits of exercise. A majority of my patients would not require most of my services if they were to adopt a healthy regimen of exercise. In fact, the obesity rates and chronic diseases worldwide would reduce dramatically as well as insurance premiums.
I will pass this on to my patients, thanks again.

With HCM, it’s a hard line to find — don’t want to over exert into a remodeling mode…but still important to keep the weight off and the mood high! I wish I liked walking more!
