My husband has dialated cardiomyopathy, type 2 diabetes. He’s on coreg, lisinopril and some different diabetes. He has valve disease, a little buldge in his aorta. He just had a echo his ef is now 50 up from 35. Can you tell me if there is anyway we an reverse this. He’s just 47 and I’m 43. His Dr’s are at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. He’s about 50lbs overweight so he is losing that slowly. He has been diagnosed since 1998. He had horrific blood pressure then and since 1998 it’s been under control. Please help me I’m panicing. I can’t seem to get a straight answer from Piedmont and I really don’t want to ask them as I guess I’m afraid of the answer.
There is no way I or anyone else can tell you what the problem may be over the internet. You’re going to need to sit down with the doctors and have all your questions answered. Be clear of what you want to know before you do that, and take good notes.
