I have to admit that I don’t know the true amount of activity you need to stay fit. I try to follow the Pritikin system which suggests 30 minutes of walking at least 3 times a week. I do know that from my perspective of running a Blue Cross agency in Florida. I see the difference regular activity can make. Active people have less health problems than inactive. I guess the best thing is not to try to figure out how much to exercise, just start and worry about how much later.
