Surviving a Heart Attack - After the First Day

OK, you've gotten through that critical 24 hours after the onset of your heart attack. Now what?

As it turns out, now comes - a lot. There are several steps both the patient and the doctor need to take to guarantee the best possible chance of surviving for a long time without further heart problems. And study after study reveals that doctors aren't especially diligent about informing their patients of all these important steps. Often it is vital for informed patients (or their loved ones) to "remind" doctors of some of the vital life-sparing treatments that all heart attack survivors ought to consider.
