"Routine" Bypass is Safer in High-Volume Hospitals

It has been recognized for years that high-risk patients who need bypass surgery have better outcomes when their surgery is done in high-volume institutions. Now, a new study shows that even low-risk bypass patients have a significantly reduced chance of dying in high-volume as opposed to low-volume hospitals.
