Cardiac resynchronization therapy - CRT - is a new form of treatment for heart failure that "resynchronizes" the disordered movement of the heart muscle, thus making the failing heart work much more efficiently. Recent studies show that CRT, in appropriate patients, can not only significantly improve the symptoms of heart failure, but can also prolong survival. Read about CRT here.
