Preventing Stroke in Atrial Fibrillation

The most severe consequence of atrial fibrillation is the increased risk of stroke. Unfortunately, recent studies find that doctors are often not taking the steps necessary to prevent stroke in their patients with atrial fibrillation. Here is a quick way to tell if a person with atrial fibrillation needs to urge their doctor to become more aggressive about preventing stroke.
