Moderate Alcohol Reduces CRP Levels

A new study shows that, in healthy elderly individuals, drinking from one to seven alcoholic beverages a week reduces CRP levels. (CRP, a marker of inflammation, has been associated with increased cardiovascular risk.) However, drinking more than that yields the highest CRP levels of all.
