A Substitute for Coumadin?

Ximelagatran is a new oral anticoagulant that does not require the careful titration and multiple drug tests required by the drug it intends to replace - coumadin. A study comparing the new drug to coumadin was presented last week at the American Heart Association meetings - and ximelagatran looks good. Read about it here.
