DrRich Makes No "Offers."

Due to a new advertising arrangement made by About.com, this site now sports a box on the left-hand column labelled "Medical Offers." DrRich wants you to know that he does NOT endorse any of the "offers" appearing within this box (or anywhere else on this site), and that he is concerned that some of these advertisements may be for products that are ineffective, potentially dangerous, and possibly illegal. The editors at About.com, to their credit, also are concerned about such ads appearing on this and other health sites, and are attempting to correct the situation.

In the meantime, here is an article describing the medical hazards of buying medication from on-line pharmacies, and another describing the legal hazards, both to the pharmacies and to you. Please be careful out there.
