Watch Coronary Bypass Surgery Live On-line

Sunday October 5, 2003
Set aside time to watch a live webcast of surgeons at Massachusetts General Hospital performing off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery. Many complications of traditional bypass surgery are thought to be related to use of the heart-lung machine. The newer off-pump (or beating heart) surgery that is being demonstrated on this webcast avoids the use of the pump, and thus may reduce the risk of complications. The surgery can be seen live, on October 16 at 4:30 PM EST, here.
