Drug Price Controls that Really Work!
Saturday July 5, 2003
DrRich is all in favor of a Medicare program to offer drug coverage to those unfortunate seniors who (famously) must choose between prescription drugs and Alpo. He is, however, opposed to a system under which his grandchildren and their struggling young families are further burdened in order to buy Viagra for himself and Bill Gates. He and Bill and can afford their own prescriptions, thank you very much.
What Congress is really doing, it seems to him, is setting in motion a convoluted (and essentially unfair) means of creating price controls on drugs. Well, it turns out there is a much more straightforward and equitable way to achieve the same end. And DrRich is pleased to describe it here.
